The Kano State governor, Dr. Abdullahi, Umar Ganduje, has said that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Engineer Abba, Kabir Yusuf, and his supporters will receive the shocker of their lives in the rescheduled governorship poll in the state.

The Commissioner for Information, Youth and Culture, Malam Muhammad Garba, in a statement, said the All Progressives Congress (APC) governor, Umar Ganduje is unperturbed by the wishful thinking of the PDP candidate,  in the light of the election being declared inconclusive, alleging that the exercise was widely characterised by vote- buying and voter-intimidation by the opposition party.

The statement declared that both the APC and its governorship candidate in the state were sure of victory at the rescheduled election as Kano State remains an APC state.

The statement assured that while Governor Ganduje remained committed to the conduct of a free and fair election, this time around, all loopholes that gave room for rigging, vote buying and intimidation of voters had been blocked.

‘’APC as a party has also re-strategised and very confident of victory because the local government areas where the rerun will take place remain APC strongholds and the electorate in those areas have made up their minds to vote massively for the governor they trust,’’ the statement added.

The statement also held that that APC does not believe in a campaign of calumny but on issues that pertain to the development of Kano State, which have endeared it to the minds of the people.

‘’The modest achievements recorded so far by the Ganduje administration have touched the lives of the people in all sectors of development. We are determined to continue if returned,’’ the statement concluded.
