The Kebbi State Governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2023 general elections, Atiku Ahmed MaiAhu has explained that, if elected as the governor of the state, he would sustained free education, free medical treatment to the masses of the state.

Maiahu, explained that these policies are good ones that he would sustained if elected as the Governor of the state which including free distribution of fertilizers to the real farmers in the state.

The Governorship candidate of Social SDP, stated this while speaking with newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.

Speaking on sustainable government’s policies, MainAku said: “once the policy is good and it is for the interest of the people of the state,the masses, we are 100 percent in support of it and it will be continue. Not only free education and scholarship, we need to ensure that the public schools are properly taken care of so that the general public will like to be taken their children to public schools.

“That is what we have in our plan. But if u look at the way and manners through which people were given scholarship abroad to studies, to me that would not help the situation. It is better to developed our education institutions, making them function well than spending billions of naira on the rich children to studies abroad. Because, if you go through analysis, you will discovered that these scholarship were given to the children of the rich people. All these courses they are going to study abroad are available in Nigeria’s university.

“All we just need is to take care of our education sector. The government should make our public schools better. All what we are saying here is that, we are not happy about how the government is being run in the country. We are going to embark on free medical treatment in our hospitals because all the federal allocations coming to the state is good enough to be given free medical treatment to the people of the state and free fertilizer to the real farmers”.

He also explained that if elected as the Governor, his administration would put an end to insecurity in the state through justice,fairness and accountability.

According to him,the issue of insecurity is caused by insincerity. When our leaders are not fair to the people,so, definitely, this kind of problem will emerge, peoples don’t have jobs, their public money have been stolen by their leaders. People felt maltreated, so, you should be expecting this kind of consequence. So, we want to create fairness and justice to all so that, even the bandits will naturally die.

“If you listen to what these bandits are saying in their videos and interviews, they always mentioned insincerity, cheating and killing of their people and that is why they are into these criminal activities. So, we are going to be fair and sincere to them. We are going to involved all religious leaders, traditional leaders and all stakeholders to address the issue. We are going to run inclusive government with the collaboration’s of all the security agencies so that they would not says this is Army issue or this is police issue. Definitely, we are going to find solution to it”, he said.

He urged the people of the state to votes for all the SDP candidates in the 2023 forthcoming general elections in order to solve many Nigeria’s problems.
