The family and friends of late ex-Super Egales coach, Stephen Keshi will today gather for a memorial mass for the departed soccer icon in Lagos.
The mass  scheduled for 11am  at the Catholic Church of Divine Mercy in Lekki, would be officiated by Monsignor Pascal Nwaezeapu. Other officiating priests include; Rev Father Anthony Fadairo and Rev Father Ethel Ukpabio.
Expected at the memorial mass is the Principal of  Keshi’s alma mater, St Finbarrs College, Akoka amongst others.
Keshi died in Benin, Edo State  on Wednesday June 8, 2016 at the age of 54.
Meanwhile the funeral rites of the late former national team skipper and tactician  had been fixed for July 27-29, with a night of tribute in Abuja, lying-state, church service and novelty football match in Benin City and burial in Illah, his home town.
The Minister of Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung had proposed a 20-man national committee for the state burial that will comprise family members, the Nigeria Football Federation, the Ministry of Youths and Sports, stakeholders including coaches, administrators, ex-footballers, the media and representatives of Delta and Edo States.
