The burial of former Super Eagles captain and chief coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, has been tentatively scheduled for last weekend of July with the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung to chair the committee for the burial.
General Secretary of the football federation, Muhammed Sanusi, who made the disclosure at the Glass House on Tuesday, further revealed that representatives from the federation, Edo and Delta States governments and members of Keshi’s family would make up the burial committee.
The chief scribe of the federation also revealed that the secretariat has been inundated with telephone calls from world soccer legends  who want to be part of the burial.
According to Sanusi; “We are tentatively settling for the last weekend of July as Keshi’s burial. The burial committee will soon be constituted and I can tell you that the Hon Minister of Sports and Youth Development will chair the committee.
“Other members of the committee will be drawn from the NFF, the Delta and Edo States government and members of the Keshi family. We have been receiving calls from world soccer legends and I can tell you that the likes of Marcel Desailly, George Weah among others have indicated interest to grace the burial. We have promised to get back to them once the final burial arrangements have been concluded by the committee,” he said.
