From Ogbonnaya Ndukwe, Aba

Five persons, including a secondary school leaver posing as a medical doctor, have been arrested by the police rapid response team in Aba, Abia State, for operating a syndicate engaged in kidnapping and selling of children.

The suspects were said to have been involved in the business for sometime until they were nabbed after a tipoff by men of the rapid response squad led by, Johnbull Obioguru, a superintendent of police.

The police team, acting on a complaint from two women living in Umuocheala, Osisioma Council Area, Mrs Happiness Monday and Mrs Rejoice Ikechukwu, that their sons, Marvellous Monday and David Ikechukwu, both aged three years, have been abducted by unknown persons, trailed and arrested Chinonso from his hideout in Owerri, Imo State, while Ekene Duru, was arrested from Enugu, where he had run to after the incident.
