The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), has concluded the 5th e-Government Capacity Building Program for 181 public servants in Abuja.
The training by KOICA was held in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications and Public Service Institute of Nigeria.
A statement made available to Saturday Sun in Abuja by KOICA said the training “brings the total number of public servants trained to 892 since the training started in 2014.”
“The 181 participants who were selected from over 30 Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) for the training, received certificates, while 15 others were awarded as champion participants with laptops, smart watches and portable speakers for their outstanding performance during the training.
“The e-government training covered critical areas such as best practices of e-government, e-government master plan, safe e-government and security. The courses were delivered by six Korean professors and Nigeria Instructors.
“KOICA has also trained over 1,500 government officers in Korea under the short-term, long-term and scholarship program in Korea, while implementing various projects in the field of vocation, education, agriculture and governance across various states in Nigeria,” the statement read.
