Operatives from the Defence Intelligence Agency(DIA), have arrested four suspected informants linked to the terrorists that carried out the bombing of Kuje prison in the Federal Capital Territory.
The suspects Daily Sun, gathered provided the terrorists group with information about troops movement and locations before the attack on the facility.
The suspects who were arrested in the FCT according to security sources were found to be in possession of sophisticated equipment including walkie-talkies, revolver, knives, amulets, and old chinese made phones, that do not use data.
Daily Sun, gathered that activities of the informants is responsible for the recent attacks in Bwari, Kaduna road and communities of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
A security source who was part of the raid but would not want his name mentioned in print, said that led to the arrest of the informants, said the security agencies were currently carrying out discreet investigations to unravel their leaders and financiers which would be made known in the coming days.
According to the source, the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) has been tasked with the responsibility to coordinate a discreet intelligence operation with a view to providing new clues and traces of groups behind recent attacks on security personnel and formations.
It was gathered that a joint security task force set after the attack on Kuje, Bwari and the military check point on kaduna road to rid criminal elements in the FCT and its surrounding states, have killed over 70, in an operation that is ongoing.
