Nasarawa State police command says it has recaptured one Hassan Hassan, male, whose name and picture was amongst the Boko Haram inmates that escaped from Kuje correctional facility.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, who said the escapee was recaptured by the police operatives of the Nasarawa State police command in Keffi at 01:30am.
The state Commissioner of Police, Adesina Soyemi, has since ordered the transfer of the suspect to a safer location while intensive search for other escapees and handing over process of the arrested inmates progresses.
Soyemi further appreciated the efforts of the police, and assured members of the public of the command’s unrelenting efforts at making the society safe for all.
