Former Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland Alh. Yahaya Kwande has described the supplementary governorship election in Plateau State as peaceful.

Amb. Kwande disclosed this on Saturday after voting at Plateau Hotel Junction PU 018 in Jos North Local Government Area of the State.

He described the turn out for the election as peaceful and orderly, compared to the March 9, polls where voting was disrupted.

Kwande blamed INEC for lack of proper planning and inadequacies that led to the declaration of the initial polls as inconclusive.

“The election is generally peaceful and the turn out is impressive compare to the last election. I will like INEC to improve on the future conduct of elections to stop delays in the announcement of results,” he said.
