The Kwara Government will on Aug. 4, begin free medical and surgical interventions across the 16 Local Government Areas (LGA) of the state.

Dr Raji Razak who disclosed this in a press statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Ilorin, said that Gov. Abdulrahaman Abdulrazak of Kwara has approved the conduct of the free medical and surgical outreach.

According to him, the free medical outreach will take place in all the local government areas of the state.

“The programme will include free medical treatment, free minor surgeries, free eye surgeries and reading glasses for indigent members of the public,” he said.

The commissioner also said each local government had a scheduled date and time for the medical and surgical interventions.

According to him, the medical outreach will commence in Moro Local Government area on Aug. 4, at the Primary Health Care facility in Malate.

“The outreach will take place in Asa LGA on Aug.11 at Mother and Child Hospital Eyekorin and Ilorin West at General Hospital on Aug. 18.

“Others include Ilorin East LGA on Aug. 25, at Magaji Area PHC, and Ilorin South on Sep. 1, at Civil Service clinic among others,” he said. (NAN)
