The National President of the Road Transport Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Dr Musa Muhammed Maitakobi, has urged members of his association across the country to be law-abiding citizens not to take the law into their hands in the conduct of their lawful business.

This is with respect to the activities of RTEAN banned by the Lagos State government recently.

Musa Maitakobi who made this known to the members during the Inauguration of Newly elected Ekiti State Executives of the Association in Abuja Thursday added that justice, equity and fraternity should be key instruments to succeed as an organisation.

The RTEAN National Chairman, while admonishing the newly inaugurated further appealed to the newly sworn-in RTEAN Chairman of Ekiti State to enshrine good Leadership and carry everyone along in the scheme of things.

He advised the leadership to be wary of political sycophants and hypocrites to be able to enshrine good leadership.

In his remarks, the newly sworn-in Chairman, Sunday Adeola expressed happiness over his election, saying it is a dream come true.

He commended the National Chairman and other members of the association for considering him worthy of office.

Adeola, while urging members in the state to shun vices and other things capable of causing a crisis in the state and Nigeria in general.

While commending the National Chairman, He called on members to show commitment and work together as a team for the betterment of the association in the state and Nigeria in general,

Adeola, said, “Since the inception of his tenure as RTEAN National President, Dr Musa Maitakobi, the stakeholders in the transport sector have described him as a reformer in the sector, and the association had reintroduced success”.

The Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria is a registered Trade Union under the law as enshrined in section 5 subsection 7 of the Trade Union Amendment Act CAP T14 laws of the Federation.
