The Commissioner of Police, Railway Police Command, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, Mr. Michael Anthony Ogbizi, has declared a total war against criminal and arrested 20 suspected hoodlums and have been charged to court.

He told Daily Sun that the command “has done very well in 2016 arresting hoodlums and immediately charged them to court.

While other suspects are under interrogation and in our custody.

“There will be a constant raiding in all the black spot and the hideouts of criminals will be chased out from the state.

He warned officers to shun corruption: “They should key into the IGP Ibrahim Idris’ vision and mission on community policing to enable the police and the public have a good relationship to enable them fight criminals out of the state.

“Also, the command flagged off ‘change begins with me,’ which we have demonstrated to the public that ‘police is their friend, bail is free.’ In 2017, the command is ready to chase criminals out of the state.”

Ogbizi said the command arrested another 10 suspects involved in stealing Railway property: “They are under investigation and soon be charged to court. We are interested in criminal cases not a civil or land matters.

“We will give hoodlums hot chase out of all Railway compounds. We are ready for them that is why we want them to turn a new leaf.”
