In line with their mandate, the coordinator and members of the steering committee (Lagos State) of the Directorate of Youth Mobilisation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council have commenced grassroots mobilisation for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.

While unveiling its office in Omole, Lagos, on Saturday, Coordinator of the committee, Kunle Oyewumi, highlighted programmes lined up by the committee ahead of the presidential election.

He said the Buhari-Osinbajo ticket is marketable, due to the feat the Federal Government has achieved in the past four years, adding that beneficiaries of the N-Power programme are mainly the youths.

He said: “We decided to engage in door-to-door campaign to sensitise Nigerians on the achievements of the federal government in Lagos State and Nigeria in general. The president Buhari-led federal government has infrastructure regeneration as a cardinal programme of its policy thrust, and, as such, there is no part of the country that has not benefitted from this initiative.

“There are numerous ongoing and completed federal government projects in Lagos State, including the rail project, construction of $10 million cancer treatment centre at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, reconstruction of Apapa-Tin Can-Mile 2-Oshodi-Oworonshoki Expressway, electrification of Sura shopping complex (1,000 shops) and rehabilitation of Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta Road.”
