The management of Lekki Concession Company Limited (LCC) has pledged its commitment to always rewarding hard work and loyalty among members of staff of the organisation, even as they have been assured that the future of the company is bright.
The Managing Director of LCC, Mr. Mubashiru Hassan, gave the assurance during a recent ceremony to commend and present awards to 30 members of staff and security officials of the company who distinguished themselves in their various responsibilities last year.
Hassan enjoined them to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their duties towards the development of the company and betterment of the Lagos public, adding that the awards were meant to inspire, motivate and excite them to deliver even better quality service.
The LCC Managing Director, who noted that the awards ceremony was the first of its kind since the inception of the company, said the 30 recipients should count themselves lucky to have been chosen for the maiden meritorious honour out of the numerous staff of the company.
“You are not the only ones who have worked very hard in the company last year. But you have distinguished yourselves among the lot. Hence, you are being honoured. Here in this company, award means more work for the growth of the company in enhancing its services at ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and safety of lives and property on the Eti-Osa, Lekki Epe expressway.
“In this light, you have to redouble your efforts in the discharge of your various duties in the company for the betterment of the Lagos public and the country in general.”
He pointed out that all eyes were on the company because of its pace-setting services which were the first of their kind in Nigeria; hence members of staff had to be committed and loyal in the discharge of their duties.
“The future of LCC is very bright. Other state governments now come here to understudy what we do in Lagos State. I am optimistic in the future. Other states might ask this company to take over this kind of services in their different areas; hence the need for members of staff to strive towards hard work and excellence.”
In a related development, the Lekki Concession Company Limited has similarly presented an award of excellence to one of the traffic officers in the Route and Incident Management department of the company, Mrs. Georgietta Yehouenou, at the company’s headquarters in Eti-Osa.
Hassan said Mrs. Georgietta Yehouenou had distinguished herself as a reliable, loyal and dedicated traffic officer since she joined the company.
He noted that LCC Route and Incident Management team plays a crucial role in reducing road accidents and man hours wasted on the roads as a result of the bad driving habits of most motorists on Lagos roads.
LCC was established to execute the Eti-Osa Lekki Toll Road Concession Project designed to deliver essential road infrastructure and services along the Lekki Peninsular of Lagos.
