Anthony Village Emerald Lions, Lagos, is offering free 50 cataract surgeries.

This was made known in a statement jointly signed by Samuel-Johnson and Adebimpe Bello, who  are the investiture committee co-chair.

They  revealed that the programmes, which include the donation of 200 hospital bedsheets to three general hospitals, would be in partnership with the Eye Foundation Hospital, Lagos.

The club has also offered to offset medical bills of patients detained in hospitals over their inability to pay, as well as construct two modern toilets, with steady supply of water in a neighbourhood school.

They announced that there would also be the investiture of Mrs. Chinyelu Samuel-Johnson, as the club’s charter president, scheduled to hold tomorrow, at the Lagos Country Club.

The investiture will also double as a fundraiser for the club as it progresses into the new Lion year; with a view to executing key projects.
