Activities leading to the internment of the remains of Late Nneoma Mercy Ifeoma Ifenkwe, mother of League Management Company (LMC) media head, Harry Iwuala, will commence with a service of songs on Thursday, December 21 and the final funeral rites on Friday, December 22.

In a statement Sir Roy Iwuala on behalf of the Iwuala family announced that family members, the St. Andrews Anglican Church, relations, friends and well wishers will gather at the residence of Reginald Iwuala for an evening of songs and testimonials at 5pm.

On Friday, the remains will lie in state at the family house before proceeding to St. Andrews Anglican Church, Anara for a commendation service at 10am.

Late Mrs. Iwuala who died on October 30 at the age of 77 after a brief illness is survived by husband, Reginald Iwuala, six sons, two daughters and many grand children as well as brothers and sisters.

She was a community leader, holding various positions in Anara Women Association and for many years, chairing the Women’s wing of the Umuneke Development Union(UDU).

Late Mrs. Iwuala was conferred with the Nneoma title, the highest recognition for service reserved for women of the Okigwe Diocese of the Anglican church.

Her sons include Sir Roy Iwuala, Imo State Organising Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Darlington Iwuala, a community leader, Harry Iwuala of the League Management Company(LMC), Franklin Iwuala of Shell, Chief Barrister Stanley Ugochukwu Iwuala and MacDonald Okechukwu Iwuala of Agip.
