Former Rivers South East senator, Magnus Abe, has tendered his resignation as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a letter addressed to APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu on Wednesday, Senator Abe cited presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “seeming unwillingness to negotiate with me since he expects me to remain” in the party as a reason for quitting the ruling party.

Abe indicated that he intends to move on with his political ambition, which he said he will communicate to Nigerians “in the coming days”

The ex-senator served as a Rivers State lawmaker, SSG and more recently senator representing Rivers South East. He had defected to the APC from his previous party, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), in 2014.
