The suspect was said to have killed his father following an argument over farm harvest.
The incident happened in Issele-Uku, the administrative headquarter of Aniocha North Local Government Area of the state.
Confirming the arrest on Sunday, Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, said the suspect was rescued from a mob before he was taken into custody.

Meanwhile, operatives of the state police command have rescued a kidnapped victim in Agbarho area of the state.
This followed a distressed call that the victim was kidnapped alongside his highlander SUV.
In a statement on Sunday, DSP Edafe said operatives mobilised, and began monitoring movement of vehicles, and sighted the SUV.
“But the driver unsurprisingly made a u-turn in a bid to escape. They were  given a hot chase by the team, and the hoodlums on noticing the determination of the team, abandoned the vehicle and escaped into a nearby bush.
“The victim was rescued unhurt and has since been reunited with his family. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects,” he added.
