A 36-year-old man, Christian Onwuebusi, was yesterday stabbed to death by boys who stormed his house at Ire Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government area of Anambra State.
It was gathered that the deceased had an issue with his younger brother over their family house, where the younger brother demanded that the deceased (Christian), who is the first son of the family, should vacate the family house.
“The younger brother to the deceased came that evening and insisted that his elder brother (deceased) should pack out of the family house for him to occupy, which the deceased (Christian) did not accept as the first son of the family”
“The younger brother warned the deceased and went away only to come back later with some boys, who manhandled the man, stabbing him in the process.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Nkiruka Nwode, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), who confirmed the incident, said two suspects had been arrested.
She noted that it was not the younger brother that killed the man, as speculated, but noted that investigation was ongoing to get to the root of the matter.
He promised to apprehend those involved in the gruesome murder, stating that the deceased had been deposited in the morgue in Obosi for autopsy.
