A man, whose name cannot be ascertain as at the time of filing this report, tried to hang himself at Jakande pedestrian bridge in Lekki area of Lagos State.
According to a twitter user, Brendalishus, the man has refused all entreaties not to take his own life.
The user also reports that men of Nigerian police have arrived the scene.
The police are also allegedly pleading with the man not to take his own life.
The reason why the unknown man was hell bent on taking his own life according to social commentators could be as a result of the economic recession, family or mental issues.
Consequently, an Instagram user, Peacemaker said the man is not serious because he could easily achieve his aim of dying without the use of a bridge.
He said: He’s not serious, can he just take two bottles of sniper without attracting undue attention.”
Meanwhile, Caladiumevents disagreed with Peacemaking, asking him if he knows the price of sniper.
He asked: “Do you know how much a bottle of sniper cost?”
Slimzy2gbaski on her part says Nigeria is facing economic hardship but the man should not take it too far by wanting to leave this world so soon.
She said: “He doesn’t need to go this far na, Nigeria is too hard mehn.’
