From: Geoffrey Anyanwu, Awka

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), on Monday, has urged southb East Governors to match their words with action on the continued incarceration of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

MASSOB, however, commended the governors for their resolve to take up the issue of the release of Kanu with the Presidency.

The group also urged the governors not to play politics with the issue and stop playing to the gallery until victory is achieved.

The governors had, risen from their meeting, on Sunday, with a resolution to meet the Presidency with the issues of MASSOB, IPOB, continued detention of Kanu and some ecological problems of the zone.

Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. Dave Umahi had assured newsmen that some positive developments would occur with their visit.

But in a statement, yesterday, the leader of MASSOB, Comrade Uchenna Madu expressed the body’s gratitude to the Governors’ Forum for taking the decision to intervene but reminded them that Ndigbo were tired of vain promises and assurances.

He said, “The Leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) salute the Igbo Governors on their unanimous assurance to intervene on the detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other pro Biafra agitators languishing in different Nigeria prisons.

“MASSOB as a leading pro Biafra group and a factor in Igbo land expresses a little gladness that Igbo Governors have risen from their slumbering attitude towards issues concerning the interest and survival of our people. MASSOB also warned that these governors must march their words, assurances and decisions with actions. Ndigbo are tired of vain promises and assurances which ultimately brings vain and meaningless glories.

“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, three others at Kuje prison and 21 MASSOB members at Onitsha and Awka prisons are being held because of Biafra and freedom of our people, they are not criminals but freedom fighters who are loved by the people of Biafra.”

He said it was a thing of regret that the patriotic Igbo young men were left to languish in various prisons in Nigeria for committing no crime because they were not children of prominent Igbo men and women.

He said, “Igbo political leaders, mostly the governors should know that if Nnamdi Kanu is the son or younger brother of Ike Ekweremadu or Nnia Nwodo, he will not spend a month in detention.

“Majority of Igbo National Assembly members are political cowards and bootlickers, we advice the Igbo Governors to distinguish themselves from the lukewarm and unproductivity of some Igbo National Assembly members. MASSOB and other pro Biafra groups represent the genuine interest of Ndigbo which can never be denied.

Wondering why Igbo political leaders were afraid to state with the non- violent pro Biafra agitators when their counterparts in the South-West and the North carry the struggles of their groups on their shoulders.

He said, “If Yoruba leaders can eloquently support and collaborate with Odua Peoples Congress (OPC), Hausa Fulani (Arewa) leaders openly romances with Islamic fundamentals including Boko Haram Terrorist and   Armed Fulani Herdsmen for the goodness of their region and people, why is Igbo leaders afraid to support or collaborate with Biafra agitating groups for the betterment of Igbo land and her people?

“With Igbo Governors stand, MASSOB is optimistic with an expectation that the next Court appearance of Nnamdi Kanu and others shall bring a positive outcome that will erupt jubilation in Igbo land.”

Only law or war will decide Kanu etc. issue. Not such act of illiteracy, insanity, cowards, appeasers of the said governors. Who is the said Buhari? Is he the law? No one is the law. Law is property of humanity in which all have right to protection. The illiterates of law accused Kanu etc. of crime, the case is in court, and will only be decided with the law or war. Any who do not respect decision of majority Igbos- which is Republic Of Biafra, will without fail face the consequences. 21st century Igbos will only handle their affairs under Republic Of Biafra God has given us. God Is With Us!!!

Neither Igbos nor Igboland is in moral mess, as insinuated by IPOB. Majority Igbos has ever stand their position firmly to date- which is Republic Of Biafra. It is not about shouting for Kanu etc. release, it is about fighting for Kanu etc. victory in the said mockery called court, with the required instruments- law or war. IPOB saying Igbos or Igboland is in moral mess because of irrelevant five votes of five individual persons in the name of governors or irrelevant few persons who think otherwise about Republic Of Biafra, is a big insult to the relevant majority Igbos who have stood their position of Republic Of Biafra firmly to date, fought for it, stood and fought for Kanu etc. issue. IPOB should apologise to the relevant majority Igbos that counts only, for such senseless statement as quoted called “moral mess” in reference to Igbos, Igboland.
