A political interest group, Divine Mandate Support Group, has expressed optimism that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Enugu state, Peter Mbah, would return Enugu as the industrial hub of the South East.
The group which last Saturday endorsed Mbah described the PDP candidate as the M.I. Okpara of the present time.
Global Leader of the group, Theophilus Chukwu, who pronounced the endorsement of Mbah as its governorship candidate in the forthcoming election declared unalloyed support to ensure he becomes the next governor of Enugu state.
The endorsement which took place at the Dragon Recreational Centre, 82 Division, Enugu, also witnessed the inauguration of Divine Mandate Mass Movement State and 17 local government coordinators for the execution of the governorship election in the state.
Chukwu, a 2022 House of Assembly aspirant for Nkanu East Constituency stated that after an in-depth study and analysis of Mbah, “we found out that this is Micheal Iheonukara Okpara and Lee Kuan Yew of our time, the most needed industrialist ndi Enugu need in a critical time like this. Looking at his admirable records in industrial sector, he is the best man Enugu youths/ndi Enugu need now and base on this, Divine Mandate Peoples Movement has adopted Dr. Peter N. Mbah as our own preferred governorship candidate in Enugu State.
“I sincerely admonish Ndi-Enugu to disregard and trash cheap blackmails championed by frustrated losers who are still leaking the wounds they sustained during our last party primary elections and embrace a new beginning of industrial revolution in Enugu State.
“I am confident that Peter Mbah, as a successful industrialist, shall bring back the glorious days of Micheal Okpara of blessed memory, who made Enugu an industrial hub of old Eastern Nigeria.”
Urging the coordinators to move into the field Chukwu said, “I honestly charge you to carry the good news of hope and a new beginning to our massive supporters, well wishers and followers that their son, Barr. Peter Mbah, who has their feelings at heart, has come to restore hope to the hopeless and bring the desired future our youths yearn for.
He promised to work assiduously for Mbah to win, assuring that no stone would be left unturned for the total victory for the PDP candidate.
He said, “Barr. Peter Mbah’s election is a capital project of Divine Mandate political movement and all hands must be seriously busy with sensitization and mobilization of our grassroots supporters because with Mbah as Enugu helms man, the future of Ndi Enugu is assured.”
