In recognition of his commitments in promoting Igbo culture in the Diaspora and Ghana in particular, Mega sister, a socio- cultural group on Sunday 28th, in Ghana, honoured the Eze Ndigbo Ghana and Assistant Publicity Secretary, Association of Ndieze Ndigbo in the Diaspora, HRM Eze Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu with Excellence awards.

The awards according to Lolo Gladys Ogburie  who presented the plaque to HRM Dr Ihenetu was part of programs lined up to mark the inauguration of Mega Sisters in Ghana.
On the entourage of the Royal Father were: Eze Udo Sempe, Eze Samuel Ekezie; Eze Udo Adotema, Eze Chuma Okadigbo; Eze Udo Aflao, Eze Victor Anyim, among others alongside chiefs from the revered Obieziokwu palace.

While commending the women for the recognition, the Umuduruoha Amaigbo Nwagele Imo-State born Royal Father, HRM Dr Ihenetu urges them to continue to  do Ndigbo and other Nigerians proud through their people oriented programmes.

Earlier in his remarks, HRM Ihenetu, a global Peace Ambassador, Philanthropist and Winner of 2021 Champion Newspapers Diaspora Personalty awards urges Ndigbo in Ghana to continue to be law-abiding by submitting to the laws of the land, adding that on the 18th of September, Igbo in Ghana will showcase best of African culture to the international community through the  Igbo Day/New Yam festival.
