In the run-up to the centenary of the MG brand, which was founded in 1924 as Morris Garages and made a major contribution to global motorsport history in the following years, the carmaker is recording resounding sales results outside China.

To be more precise: the overseas sales have now exceeded one million MG vehicles since 2007, which is about half of total MG sales. Meanwhile, due to its strong research and development capabilities and solid overseas operations, MG is also the “Champion of China’s Single Brand Overseas Sales” for the third consecutive year.

MG Motor has also been well received in Nigeria where the representative, Stallion Group, which took over the franchise towards the end of 2021, has confirmed that the vehicles have endeared themselves to the local market, especially the corporate users/

The General Manager, Stallion MG Automobiles Limited, Anurag Shah, disclosed on Saturday that the MG vehicles his company has so far introduced, have been attracting impressive demand.

He, however, bemoaned the challenge of meeting the customers’ orders due to the scarcity of forex  – a situation which has affected the auto market generally.

The milestone of one reaching millionth sales mark is a strong testament to the achievements of MG’s global layout and deep cultivation over the years.

Today, MG products are welcomed in Nigeria and 83 other countries around the world, while the brand has attracted 6 million fans worldwide on social media and is much loved by young consumers around the world.
