One of the party in the matter, a firm, Redline Properties Limited (RPL), attributed the  cause of the crisis in the area  to issuance of two Certificates of Occupancies (C of O) on one land to different parties by the State Government.

In the petition dated December 22, and written on behalf of the firm by one Mr. Olalekan Olaleye, the firm, sought Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Mr. Moyosore Onigbajo’s intervention, over the alleged fraudulent act.

The petitioner detailed how the land measuring  3,988.399 square meters, with C of O dated June 5, 2016, registered as No.56 in page 56, volume 2016E at the Lands Registry was legally acquired from Mr.Femi Romiluyi ,and Mrs. Abisola Romiluyi, who were the assignors with the sum of N120,000,000 in 2018.

The firm alleged that its structure on the said land with SurveyPlanNo:FSC/LA/1595/103/2007, dated October 30, 2007, is currently being destroyed by another firm, Taj-Kay Ventures with the backing of some government’s officials in an attempt to illegally acquired it.

RPL averred its investigation on what led to destruction of its structures on the land revealed that the same said landed property in question that priorly has C of O was re-allocated thereafter without a recourse to the existing Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) to Taj-Kay Ventures.
