Born on the 9th of January 1980 to the illustrious family of the Late Col. Christopher Bankole Akinwumi and Mrs. Beatrice Amoke Akinwumi in Akure, Balarabe as he is fondly call is a true son of the soil who understands the true needs of his people.

 

The emergence of Balarabe’s aspiration to contest the Akure North/South Federal Constituency election come 2023 offers the people the opportunity to elect a candidate who has the intellectual wit and prowess to engage the necessary factors and people to drive development for his people.

Bala’s illustrious professional career over the last eighteen years spans the private and public sectors in England as well as Nigeria where he has demonstrated his capacity and contributed to the success of different organizations which include but are not limited to Centrica, UK, TCL Consulting, UK, Alexander Johnson Solicitors, London, UK; Empire Energy,  Owena Energy Limited; Ondo State Government where he excelled over two terms as Special Assistant, Oil and Gas and Special Assistant, Special Duties under the governorship of Dr.Olusegun Mimiko, Acuitas Legal, a boutique corporate commercial law firm where he is a co-founding partner. Bala is widely recognized amongst his peers as a leading expert in the Oil and Gas and Solid Minerals industry in Nigeria where he continues to act for several clients on multi-million dollar projects. He sits on the board of five (5) indigenous oil and gas, solid minerals and fintech companies as well as  an adviser to many established and start up companies.

He is a regular participant at the Oil & Gas’ leading industry conference, OTC in Houston, Texas, United States.
