General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, Pastor Lazarus Muoka has saluted Nigeria on her 58th independence anniversary, saying that God’s hands are upon the affairs of the nation.

He spoke at the two-day crusade with the theme: ‘God’s Intervention in time like this,’ which ended on Sunday at the Lord’s Chosen headquarters, Ijesha, Lagos.

Muoka stated that at 58, Nigeria has come a long way in her journey to development and peace, pointing out that no matter what the country is passing through, there is hope, in as much as Nigerians are steadfast and put their trusts in God.

He said Nigeria and the entire world need to pray fervently, and ensure that nothing is in between them and God, in order to be free from the tribulations and crisis that are ravaging the world. “A lot of crises and tribulations are going on all over the world, which urgently need God’s intervention.

“In Nigeria, we have corruption, killings, kidnapping, economic crisis etc. So, in time like this, we should look up to God in prayers, put on the garments of holiness and be ready for the coming of Jesus Christ, which is already at hand.”

Muoka also advised Nigerians to use the celebration to reflect and pray for God to intervene in the affairs of the nation.

“As Nigeria is marking 58th independence anniversary, we could see that there are tribulations everywhere.

“So, Nigerians should not only focus on funfair, but also think of what would make God happy for the country.

They should draw closer to God, through prayers and total commitment.”

Muoka, who prayed for the peace and unity of the country counseled Nigerian leaders to lead with the fear of God, bearing in mind that God is in-charge of all things.

“Nigerian leaders should avoid acts that are contrary to God’s directives, because God is interested in the country’s growth.”

The Cleric is optimistic that by the grace of God, the 2019 election will be peaceful. He called on Nigerians to remain peaceful in all their activities.
