Absence of witnesses expected to be called by the owner of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, Dr Rahmon Adedoyin, where a Master student of Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU), Timothy Adegoke died, on Thursday, stalled the trial.
Adedoyin and six of his staff are standing trial on the alleged murder of Adegoke who lodged in the hotel before his purported murder.
The court presided over by the Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Oyebola Ojo, had at the last sitting granted an amended charge to press murder charge against Adedoyin who has been standing trial on conspiracy and oath taken.
When the case came up on Thursday, counsel to Adedoyin, Kehinde Eleja SAN, informed the court that the police officer intended to call was on special duty.
Counsel to the other defendants, Muritala Abudulrosheed SAN, said he was ready to go on and call his witnesses.
But the court held that the matter must be orderly heard and thereby adjourned the case till 15 and 16 December 2022 for the definite continuation of the hearing.
