And indeed, the deceased’s children —SBLive and his siblings— made it an unforgettable celebration of life as the three-day final funeral rites started with a Service of Songs/Praise Night on Wednesday 2 November at the RCCG Lagos Provincial 38 Headquarters in Egbeda, Lagos. There was a wake and a lying in state at the deceased’s Akowonjo, Lagos residence on Thursday 3 November. The multi-pronged burial rite was wrapped off with the internment and climaxed with a grand party on Friday 4 November. As expected, it was a gathering of people of high networth who came to join the Bankoles at the massive Iceland Events Centre inside Gowon Estate in Egbeda, Lagos with Mega 99 on the bandstand.
