For Japhet Attah Egwumah popularly known as Japhman to call himself a complete entertainer is not an exaggeration because he has proven his mettle in the entertainment space as a hype man artist, music artist, host, actor, comedian and more.

In a recent interview, he shared his ultimate dream as an entertainer.

“ My dream is to unite people through the creation of laughter, acting and singing all over the world. Uniting different cultures and races together as one, through my music and comedy,” he stated.

As a hype man artist, he is a backup singer or rapper who amplifies the level of excitement within the audience by supporting the singer or rapper with exclamations, interjections and praises. He is a master in creating and calling out catchy chants, as well, getting the crowd going.

“I’ve been featured in a few songs, as a hype man artist. My level of energy and words of exclamation created opportunities for me and allowed my audiences to grow overtime, at my shows. I also have my own solo songs that elevated my level of popularity, mostly because hype men are very important to shows and events; They keep the energy going,” he said.

As a music artist, Japhman began his journey in 2004 and underscored that journey with a bang when he mounted the same stage with P-Square in 2005. His vocals and total craft gave him a strong leverage that saw him collaborating with some established stars.

He has headlined quite a few shows within the span of his career, both as a hype man and host.

He has also been featured in a movie and is currently working on his own series soon to hit the digital screens all over the world.

Japhet Attah Egwumah a.k.a Japhman was born in the northern part of Nigeria, Kaduna State but hails from Ibaji local government area of Kogi state. He presently lives in Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America.

He graduated from Kogi State University with a Bachelor’s degree in physics. He started his professional career in 2004 at Kogi State University, having his first performance on stage alongside w P-Square in 2005.

He is a happily married man with two children.
