The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has given approval to AKO Group of Companies, to commence marketing Diabiz Herbal Tea in Nigeria, after the product successfully passed through various laboratory tests.
Diabiz is an herbal remedy that supports carbohydrate metabolism and aids in maintaining normal level of blood sugar.
Chief Executive Officer of Ako Group of Companies, Mr Obiora Atuchkwu explained that the introduction of Diabiz into the Nigerian market became necessary due to rising incidence of diabetes and other sugar-related diseases.
He noted that with the presence of Diabiz, manufactured by Ayusri Health Products Limited India, many saved from avoidable deaths, as it contains a combination of special medicinal herbs.
Atuchukwu said that contents of the product make it unique and more efficacious than other products of its kind. “We have seen that Diabiz will go a long way as a remedy in cases of blood sugar level control.
Therefore, we decided to let Nigerians benefit from its effective performance. It is another active Indian Ayurvedic product for blood sugar cases like Dykure herbal capsules.”
The AKO Group chief executive pointed out that the ancient scriptures of Ayurveda prescribe certain herbs and minerals, which are extremely potent in maintaining the blood sugar levels within the normal limits, hence, protecting against the associated complications. “Furthermore, they endow significant protection to the vital organs against the damaging oxidative stress that is always associated with raised blood sugar.”
According to Atuchukwu, the newly introduced product is readily available nationwide and plans are on ground to put it at the doorsteps of every Nigerian so as to deal with the problem of diabetes.
“We are very much available in the Nigerian market because we are conscious of the Diabetes mellitus, one of the most common metabolic disorders that is growing at an alarming rate.
The plethora of allied acute and chronic micro vascular and macro-vascular complications makes this disorder all the more troublesome.”
He furthermore explained that Diabiz tea causes remarkable improvement in the distress signs and symptoms of diabetes, and helps the individual lead a peaceful and comfortable life.
“It is not only meant for those who are already diabetic, everyone needs to take the tea to avoid developing the symptoms because we believe that prevention is better that cure.”
