Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, has said that the Assembly has no anointed governorship aspirant for the 2019 elections in the state.

He stated this, on Tuesday, in Lafia, when a governorship aspirant in the state on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Ahmed Wadada, visited the Assembly to inform them of his aspiration to govern the state come 2019.

Balarabe-Abdullahi said that the house would only support a credible candidate that would bring the much needed dividend of democracy to the people of the state.

“The House will sit down and take an unanimously decision on the aspirant to support during the 2019 governorship election but for now, the house have no anointed aspirant,” he said

Earlier, The governorship aspirant Hon Wadada who is a two term former  House of Representatives member said that he was in the house to inform them  of his intention to contest the state’s governorship seat come 2019.

He commended the house for their cordial relationship with the executive arm which had brought about the needed development in the state and called for its sustenance.
