The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Plateau State, has declared Dimka Hezekiah Ayuba, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of Plateau Central Senatorial Elections.

Ayuba, a former Police Commissioner, polled 149,457 to defeat Paradang David Shikfu, a former Comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service, of the PDP, who scored 145,048 votes.

INEC Voter Education and Publicity head Mr Osaratin Imahiyereobo in a press statement on Thursday said the Plateau South Senatorial election was declared inconclusive while results for Plateau North Senatorial election has not been declared.

The statement revealed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won four of the eight House of Representatives seats in the state, while the APC won three, with the result for Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency undeclared.

Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi of the APC polled 80,373 votes to defeat Timothy Simon Golu of the PDP, who garnered 78,987 votes for Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency.

For Shendam/Mikan/Quan’pan Federal Constituency, Longgap Komsol Alphonsus of the APC polled 69,546 to defeat Johnbull Temlong Shekarau who scored 53,321, while Idris Ahmed of the APC defeated his rivals with 23,445 votes for Wase Federal Constituency.

Simon Davou Mwadkwon of the PDP polled 64,291 votes to beat Tawal Bitrus Dangwal of the APC, who scored 24,796 for Barkin-Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency.

For Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, Dachung Musa Bagos polled 117,114 votes to beat Dongs Pam Gyang of the APC, who scored 37,617 votes; while Solomon Maren Bulus of the PDP polled 71,903 to beat Harun Danjuma of the APC, who scored 58,964 for Mangu/Bokkos Constituency.

Hon. Beni Lar of the PDP polled 53,726 votes to defeat Bako Nandang of the APC, who scored 27,353 votes for Langtang North/ Langtang South Federal Constituency.

Meanwhile, Plateau State Governorship candidate of the PDP, Plateau State, Gen. Jeremiah Useni (retd) has led all PDP Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates in a protest to the INEC Headquarters, Jos, the Plateau State capital.

Useni, who is the incumbent senator representing Plateau South, and State PDP Chairman Hon. Damishi Sango, rejected the result for Plateau Central Senatorial elections, describing it as a coup against democracy.

Both Useni and Sango called on INEC to release the result for Plateau North Senatorial election with immediate effect and conduct a rerun of the Plateau Central election to aviod political fallout in the state.
