Nigeria’s foremost independent integrated energy company, the Niger Delta Exploration and Production Plc (NDEP), has announced the appointment of Mr. Adegbola Adesina as their new Chief Finance Officer (CFO).
This appointment was declared recently by the NDEP Chairman, Mr. Ladi Jadesimi in a recent press release made available to Daily Sun.
According to Mr. Jadesimi, Adesina’s appointment as CFO was to further reposition, and deepen the financial strategies of NDEP. “The appointment is in continuation of the Company’s ongoing, forward-looking preparations for the new challenges of growth and transformation as the emerging leading Nigerian independent Energy Company”.
Prior to this appointment, Mr Adesina was Chief Finance Officer at Greenville Oil & Gas from 2015 to 2017, where he helped set up the Finance function and led their Commercial and Financing initiatives. He was until his current appointment, the Head of Corporate Finance and Development at Newcross Exploration and Production Limited.
The new CFO has over 18 years of professional experience spanning Investment Banking, Financial Transaction Advisory, Audit, Project, and Management Accounting over a diverse range of businesses including private equity, energy and infrastructure, oilfield services, banking, and manufacturing.
His immediate past 10 years have been spent leading multi-disciplinary project teams that provided management, financial and accounting advisory services for project-specific and corporate transactions. “With this appointment and seamlessly deploying the full strength of our talented in-house Finance function team, NDEP group expects a significant leap in further enhanced management of its impressive financial resources”, Mr. Jadesimi added.
