Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), cleared the three Senate seats in Cross River State just as the former Senate Leader, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has lost his bid to return to Senate for the fourth time.

The returning officer for Central senatorial district, Prof Enyong Ubana, who declared the result, said Prof Sandy Onor, (PDP) polled 80,126 to defeat Sen Ndoma Egba who scored 60,298.

In the northern senatorial district of the state, the incumbent Senator Rose Okoh (PDP) won Wabily Nyiam (APC) with over 100,000 votes to return to the upper chamber.

The returning officer for Northern senatorial district, Prof James Okpuliya, announced that Senator Rose scored 100, 967 votes while her closest rival, Wabily Nyiam, APC, got a total of 36,129 votes.

Earlier, Senator Gershom Bassey, PDP, was declared winner by the returning officer for Southern Senatorial district, Prof James Epoke. Gershom scored 158, 862 votes to defeat his closest rival, Prince Otu of the APC, who polled a total of 142,166 votes in the seven local government areas that form the district.
