From Isaac Anumihe, Abuja
STAFF of the National Economic Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND) yesterday, in Abuja, protested their neglect by their employers, accusing the Chief Executive Officer, Mahmoud Kollere, and their Executive Director, Ihua Elenwon, of ineptitude.
The distressed workers hit the road as early as 7am, clutching posters with various inscriptions that read, “Change must come to NERFUND”; “PMB, we are suffering”; “Kollere must go”; PMB please address ongoing stagnation at NERFUND”. They accused the management of the agency led by Mahmoud Kollere of gross ineptitude and incompetence to bring the agency out of the woods.
Yusuf Mohammed, who is a management staff in the organisation, explained that although the protest was organised by the junior staff, the management staff joined in the struggle to give impetus to their cause.
