A new Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland will be pronounced by the kingmakers, on Thursday, Daily Sun has reliably gathered.

According to a reliable source within the palace, the kingmakers had within, seven days, to pick the new traditional ruler and head of Remo land.

19 princes, including three professors from Torungbuwa Ruling House, had signified their interest in the stool, which became vacant after Oba Michael Adeniyi Sonariwo, joined his ancestors in 2016.

The princes, who were duly nominated at the extended meeting of the Ruling House which is next to produce the Akarigbo, were said to have been interviewed on Monday and Tuesday by the seven kingmakers for the selection process.

Meanwhile, the source further informed Daily Sun that the Ifa oracle would be consulted after the kingmakers might have screened and shortlisted the candidates to five or seven before the final pronouncement, on Thursday.
