New Commissioner of Police promises to sustain peace in Kebbi

The new Commissioner of Police, posted to Kebbi state Police Command, Mr. Adeleke Adeyinka Bode has promised to sustain peaceful terrain and society which the state was known for in Nigeria.

Bode, who stated this while speaking with newsmen at the Correspondent’s Chapel Secretariat, Birnin Kebbi on Monday, the police under his watch,would continue to provide maximum security to the people of the state.

He said: “I want to say, I am promising you that we would continue to keep our mandate of making Kebbi State safer. Most people, when they heard you were posted to Kebbi state, they will say,oooh,that state is peaceful.

” It is some people that have been doing that job. The police, the press and the people are the ones working hard to make the state peaceful. So, we are promising that,we are still going to continue with that trend. We are going to make Kebbi state peaceful “.

Bode also implored the people of the state especially the media to be free to contact the command on useful information that could help the police to secure the state.

He commended the newsmen in the state for their continuous support for the command over the years stressed that,the command hold the Kebbi state journalists in high esteem.

“Let me say thank you for the way you have been assisting the command before I came here. I want to say, thank you and I want to say,we would keep our mandate to make Kebbi state more safer.
