In a statement, Ossai said no individual is bigger than Ohanaeze, hence all hands must be on deck to move the association forward.

The election that brought Ossai to power had participants from the five states of the South East geo-political zone – Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo – while Igbo-speaking states of Delta and Rivers were fully represented.

The election was supervised by former president general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Garry Igariwe.
