The trial of the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen, over alleged non-declaration of assets has taken a dramatic turn with the Code of Conduct Tribunal ordering security agencies to arrest and produce him before the tribunal for trial on Friday.

‎The tribunal specifically directed the Inspector General of Police and the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), to effect the arrest of Justice Onnoghen and to produce him before on the adjourned date.

The order of the Mr. Danladi Umar-led three-man tribunal was sequel to an application the Federal government made for a bench warrant to be issued against the suspended CJN.
