Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Oil Money foundation, has donated food items, mattresses among other items to over 20 widows in Lagos and Edo States respectively.

 

The organisation said that the donations to the widows will assist them in catering for their needs particularly things that they can’t afford.

Oil Money Foundation is founded last year November by a Nigeria-United Kingdom (UK) based entrepreneur and philanthropist, Alafaa Kariboye-Igbo.

According to the NGO, the donations will help children of the widows live a healthier life and become more productive in their daily activities.

The organisation explained that the donations were part of it’s mission and vision for establishing the NGO.

It said: ” The organisation will also carry out projects that will improve the education, health, create business opportunities and protect the lives of the less privileged in the society“.

The organisers disclosed that more people will receive more items that will cushion the effect of the pandemic across the country.

“ Our organisation will equally support children pay their school fees, medical bills because their safety is our priority. We will equip them with necessary materials that will prevent them from contacting the COVID-19 virus and help families start their own businesses.
