Workers in the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) have renewed the call for the sack of its Executive Secretary, Prof. Usman Yusuf.
The workers have repeatedly accused Usman of corruption and mismanagement of resources of the agency.

Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, a few months ago, ordered his suspension from office over allegation of graft but few weeks after, President Muhammadu Buhari, was reported to have ordered his reinstatement.
Chairman, Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Isaac Ojemohenke, told journalists at a press conference, in Abuja, that the workers could not continue to tolerate nepotic, corrupt and mal-administrative practice in the agency.
The workers’ representative said the embattled NHIS boss has repeatedly violated NHIS establishment act without any action taken by the government.
He raised alarm that operational activities of the agency might completely collapse if urgent action is not taken by the government to salvage the agency.
He alleged that the NHIS boss recently awarded fictitious contracts worth millions of Naira to companies owned by his friends and associates without due process, thus, violating some sections of procurement Act.
The workers, thus, appealed to Federal Government to allow anti graft agencies to beam its searchlight on the financial operations of the agency, particularly the Chief Executive, so as to retain the integrity of the agency and trust of business partners.
