Faparusi who represented Ekiti South Federal Constituency 2, between 2011- 2014 urged Nigerians especially voters to be very sensitive at this time not to play themselves into the hands of evil manipulators but to go out en masse to the polls and vote for Asiwaju to be the next president of Nigeria.

” Just like Governor El- Rufai said that some elements are working against Tinubu, Nigerians should be sensitive not to play into the hands of evil manipulators that do not mean well for the people of the country, so they know that Asiwaju Tinubu, is not the president that they can control or they can cage.”

The former Commissioner for Public Utilities and Infrastructures under the immediate past administration of former governor Kayode Fayemi in the state, criticized the newly redesigned naira notes by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), alleging it has some political undertone.

“I want to criticize the redesigning of the naira, it’s not APC policy, the CBN has its own autonomy under the law to do what is right, to regulate the economy, the financial sector, but doing so at this critical time, I want to believe it has some political undertone.”

He added that the redesigning of the naira is the greatest problem Nigerians have faced in recent time as a people,

“It’s an ill-timed policy, poorly implemented that has put Nigerians into hardship, irrespective of their political parties.

“The APC as a party, the government of President Buhari has tried his possible but there are a lot of concerns apart from the recent development of fuel scarcity, and redesigning of the naira, that has left everybody surprised.

“Nigerians should look beyond the crisis and disappoint them and vote for Tinubu in the forthcoming election.”

He called on the federal government to remove the fuel subsidy once and for all so that at the end of the day, there would be solutions to the fuel crisis in Nigeria.

When asked what the Contact and Mobilisation Committee in the state is doing concerning Tinubu’s presidency, Faparusi said, ” The Contact and Mobilisation Committee Tinubu /Shettima Presidential Campaign Council in Ekiti has been working vigorously to ensure victory for Tinubu and his running mate and Ekiti will produce the highest percentage of votes for Tinubu in the February election.”
