To deepen its campaign to the all nooks and crannies of the state, the Delta State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presented 25 Toyota Hiace buses to local government coordinators on Monday.
The buses which were branded Atiku-Okowa and Sheriff-Onyeme were presented in Asaba to the 25 local government coordinators by the Director, Administration of the Delta State PDP Campaign Council, Mr Paul Oweh.
The presentation of the buses is coming a few days after the tour of the local government areas by the campaign train of the party.
Speaking with newsmen, Director General of the campaign council, Mr Funkekeme Solomon said the aim was to facilitate the movement from ward to ward, unit to unit, house to house and door to door.
Funkekeme said the campaigns have not ended with the public rallies at council headquarters, but that the party was determined to take the campaigns to the grassroots where they would meet voters one on one.
He charged the local government coordinators and others to spread the rescue message of the PDP with the Atiku-Okowa presidential ticket.
Funkekeme also urged them to ensure victory for all the candidates of the PDP at the general elections.
The coordinator for Warri South, Gripson Omatsuli, thanked the campaign council for the donation of the vehicles, assuring that they will not disappoint the party.
“PDP is the only party that can rescue the country from the present doldrum where the All Progressive Congress (APC) has led us.
“We are going to take the rescue mission message to all the nooks and crannies and let the people know that PDP will reset this country.
“So, it is going to be Atiku-Okowa for the presidency, Sheriff-Onyeme for the governorship, and all other candidates of the party for the elections,” Omatsuli said.
