Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has said that Nigeria Police Force will be better placed and best in the world, if adequately supported.

Ugwuanyi disclosed this at a Security Summit and Award Presentation organised by the Police-Community Relations Committee (PCRC) and DSV Global Concepts Nigeria, yesterday.

The governor, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Security Matters, Brig Gen. Fred Eze (retd), noted that notwithstanding the daunting challenges facing the police and its personnel, it has continued to perform with minimal resources.

“I have worked with our police officers, even outside the country and have seen that they are dedicated and loyal to our Fatherland and the positive image of Nigeria. Nigeria police will be the best in the whole world if given the necessary support to succeed.

“If you consider the population of the country, as well as inadequacies in logistics and supplies to the police; you will see that the Nigeria oolice is doing excellently well,’’ he said.

The governor restated his government’s resolve to partner with various security agencies to ensure that the state remains the safest state in the country.
