From Sola Ojo, Kaduna
Nigerians have reacted to a Facebook post by Senator that represented Kaduna Central in the 8th assembly on the need to dash out shoes and clothes not worn since January.
To this human rights activist turned politician, giving such items to the needy would mean unburdening life’s vanities and freeing their souls.
He wrote; “there is that shoe and that dress in your wardrobe that you have not worn since January.
“This is the time to give it out to those who need it most. Unburden your life of vanities and free your soul”.
One of the commentators on the post, Mr. Isaiah Benjamin wrote; “very correct distinguish. Help me check just in case, my shoe size is 41 big and 42 small and any of those powerful suits and designer shirts you have not used for long will be good for me. Again I come in peace. Lol”.
Another Commentator, Myllambe Myllambest wrote; “‘wannan gaskiya ne’ my Gov come 2027. I just did and packed 2 big Ghana-must-go clothing and shoes and send them to my home town.
“I became a godfather in the diaspora. Honestly I was so guilty and relieved and promise to do that regularly”.
Another fan of Sen Sani, Ibrahim Umar wrote; “of course, that’s good advice because keeping and taking them for dry cleaning without use is as if they are on lease to you”.
