How Agi purchase N8m car‎ from us for Ademola’s son—Coscharis

Federal Government has disclosed that it has lined up 14 witnesses to prove it’s case against Justice Ademola Adeniyi of the Federal High Court Abuja and his wife, Olabowale, and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Joe Agi.
Justice Ademola and others were re-arraigned last week on a 16-count criminal charge, bordering on allegation of fraud.
‎Meanwhile, a staff of Coscharis Motors Ltd, Miss Ifeoma Anagolu has told the court how Joe Agi, (the 3rd defendant), purchased a BMW Saloon 320i worth N8m for Ademide, son of Justice Ademola.
The first prosecution witness (PWI) Anagolu, further testified that the deal for the purchase of the car was done on January 5, 2015.

‎Among the charges, Federal Government had alleged that Justice Ademola and his wife conspired and also received N30m gratification from Joe Agi, SAN and Associates between March 11 and March 26, 2015.
When the matter came up yesterday , the prosecution, Segun Jegede told Justice Jude Okoke that pursuant to Section 300 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015, that the complainant would be calling 14 witnesses in order to prove it’s case against the defendants.
The prosecutor said 12 out of the 14 are “factual witnesses”.
Jegede further informed the court that the FG would be calling the Executive Secretary of National Judicial Council (NJC) and the Chief Registrar of the Federal High Court who “are to be subpoenaed to produce documents difficult to obtain from these institutions”.
Among the “Factual witnesses”, the prosecutor said he would call an operative of the DSS who will testify mainly on the search conducted at the residence of Justice Ademola on October 7, 2016.
“The witness will disclose that among items found were cash sums of N54million, $121,000 US Dollars, 2 pump action rifle with several rounds of ammunition without valid license” the FG lawyer stated.
Also to be called as witness is an investigator who investigated the case and received the three defendants in the office; he will describe the condition under which the defendants gave statement.
In addition, the prosecutor said he would call Dr Shuaibu Teidi as witness, whereby he will give evidence concerning his travails in the hands of Justice Ademola when he (Teidi) was charged before the 1st defendant in connection with the pension funds scandal.
“He will testify on the circumstances leading to the demand of N25million bribe in order to enable the witness (Teidi) leave the dingy cell of Kuje prison to the comfort of his home. He will talk how he ended up at the Court of Appeal and NJC” Jegede stated.
“Officials of GTB bank and Zenith bank will also testify on the matter” Jegede said.
Meanwhile, in her evidence in chief, a staff of Coscharis Motors Ltd, Miss Ifeoma Anagolu told the court how Joe Agi, the 3rd defendant purchased a BMW Saloon 320i worth N8m for Ademide, son of Justice Ademola.
Anagolu testified that the deal for the purchase of the car was done on January 5, 2015.
The witness who was led in evidence by the prosecution counsel said, “Yes, I have heard the name Joe Agi. I heard it during the closing of sales with Ademide. Ademide said we should quote and attention the BMW 320i to Joe Agi.
“We started the sales talk in December 2014 and crossed over to January 2015.
“On January 5, 2015, there was an invoice issued to Joe Agih at N8million plus N400000 VAT for the car.
“It was a cash transfer from Joe Agih and Associates, a one-off payment and I was called by Joe Agih to check the company’s account for the transfer and confirmation.
“Upon confirmation, I issued a receipt in the name of Ademide Ademola and the car was delivered to his residence at Nos16 Babatunde Anjous Avenue, Lekki Phase 1.
“There, I met Ademide and he received the car” the first prosecution witness told the court.
The copies of invoice, receipt nd deliver mail were tendered and admitted in evidence.
However, the court will today rule on whether or not it will admit the written statement of Ifeoma Anagolu following its objection by Onyechi Ikpeazu SAN, Robert Clarke SAN, and Josh Njikonye, counsel representing the 1st, 2nd and 3rd defendants respectively.
