In a communique issued at the end of the meeting between leadership of organised labour and the state government, a copy of which was made available to Daily Sun, the meeting resolved that Benue State Government should immediately pay striking workers and pensioners two months salary and pension arrears.

The communique which was read by the National Secretary of NLC, Peter Ozo-Eson, and jointly signed by both the labour leaders of the state and the state government, added that the state government must undertake to source for funds and pay the said two months arrears between Thursday and Friday, this week.

It also maintained that no worker shall be victimized for organizing or participating in the strike even as both parties would continue to dialogue on all issues or matters affecting the welfare of workers and pensioners in the state.
