Former Enugu State Governor, Chimaroke Nnamani, has charged youths in the country to rise to challenge of leadership, so as to chart a new course for good governance in the country.

Nnamani, who currently represents Enugu East senatorial zone in the National Assembly, gave the charge,on Friday, in a solidarity message to commemorate the 2022 International Youth Day.

The former governor, while stressing the
need for inter generational collaboration to tackle global issues, said it is imperative for youths to take leadership responsibilities through the democratic processes.

He implored young persons to deploy their energies, intellects and skills towards positive engagements and shun
criminal activities or vices that could undermine their pursuit for excellence.

According to him, “there are many decent ways of earning a living without involving in any illegal activities”.

Nnamani, who acknowledged the exploits and accomplishments of Nigerian youths in various fields of human endeavours especially in science and information Technology, tasked them to channel their knowledge into positive ventures.

The former Governor said he believes that the youths have the solutions to the myriads of socio- economic and political challenges, confronting the country. Consequently, he urges the government to continue to provide the enabling environment for youths to realize their potentials .
