Nollywood actors are doing all they can to revive the entertainment industry in Abia State. 

To this end, the Conference of Nollywood Practitioners, Abia State chapter, met at the weekend, in Aba.
Addressing newsmen, the Chairman of Nollywood practitioners, Abia State chapter, Elder Ebere Iheanacho, said the body is coming up with an event tagged, “Nollywood  Governors’ Night.’’

Iheanacho said apart from using the event as a tool to revive the entertainment industry in Abia, Nollywood practitioners in the state would also use it to support the state government’s drive in rebranding Abia.

He reiterated that Abia State has been the foundation of Nollywood in Nigeria, which has produced top movie practitioners over the years, and assured that the state would take its rightful place in the entertainment industry after the event.

Also speaking, chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Abia State chapter, Gabriel Agbaeze Ogba, said the event, which will take place on October 24, would be the first of its kind to be held in the state.
High point of the meeting was a rally round major streets of Aba by Nollywood practitioners in the state.
